Ingredients (Serves 8):
✔ 1 store-bought shortcrust pastry crust (11oz./320g)
✔ 1 tbsp unsalted butter
✔ 8 oz (225g) broccoli florets, chopped
✔ 1 small onion, diced
✔ 2 garlic cloves, minced
✔ 4 large eggs
✔ 6 fl oz (180ml) milk
✔ 4 fl oz (120ml) cream
✔ ½ tsp dried oregano
✔ 1 tsp salt
✔ Fresh ground black pepper
✔ 3 oz (90g) shredded cheddar cheese
✔ 1 oz (30g) shredded Parmesan cheese
How to Make Broccoli Cheddar Quiche:
1️⃣ Pre-Bake the Crust
- Preheat your oven and pre-bake the shortcrust pastry according to the package instructions.
- Once done, set the oven to 350°F (180°C).
2️⃣ Sauté the Veggies
- Heat butter in a skillet over medium heat.
- Add broccoli, onion, garlic, and ¼ tsp salt and sauté for 5 minutes.
- Remove from heat and set aside.
3️⃣ Prepare the Egg Mixture
- In a medium bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, cream, oregano, salt & pepper.
4️⃣ Assemble the Quiche
- Sprinkle cheddar & Parmesan cheese on the bottom of the pre-baked crust.
- Add the broccoli mixture on top.
- Pour the egg mixture evenly over everything.
5️⃣ Bake & Enjoy!
- Place the quiche in the oven and bake for 35-40 minutes until the center is set and the top is lightly golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and let it cool for 5 minutes before slicing.
